First Session

NGZ 004

(Inside the Gondola) The gondola is quite a substantial size, 20' long,  7' wide and 6' high. In the centre of each side wall is a door. At the front is a chest which is against the wall and a compass. At the rear is another chest and a large tiller. Around the walls and in the floor are windows.

A compass of the type which you would expect to find in an old sailing junk. It has a floating 6" plate which rotates to point south.

A tiller like those found in old junks. The tiller goes straight out the back of the gondola and is connected to several linkages outside.
The forechest is locked by the same keys as the doors (key number 399). It holds equipment to do minor repairs to the gondola and the steering mechanism.
The aftchest is locked by the same keys as the doors (key number 399). It holds two weeks of dried lotus seed rations for six people and two days of water for six people.

Back onto the roof through the doors.
