S 001

(Shan Peninsula - East of the Niao Jiang) The Shan Peninsula is very mountainous. Small villages dot the valleys and cling to the coastline.

There are no villages in the mountains with more than a ten thousand people. The villages survive on subsistence farming on the river plains and terraced mountain fields or fishing.

There are no villages on the coast with more than a twenty thousand people. The villages survive on subsistence farming on coastal plains or fishing.
AN of the villages are closely allied with Hel Churl and for the first twenty four days 90% of the male population is away fighting the war at Wu Tze Lee for the army of Hel Churl. After this the place is in celebration for the rest of the module and the players will be welcomed with open arms if they say they also fought for the army of Hel Churl.
The villages are all the things you would expect, Temples to Buddhism and Taoism, Government departments, shops. Most are closed for the first twenty six days.
The players will be able to get their passports stamped at the customs office, which is running on a skeleton staff for the first twenty six days, in any village of more than five thousand people.
The locals know/believe the following:
They are on the side of Hel Churl.
That Wu Tze Lee is the evilest man in the world.

After day 24:

The brilliant forces of Hel Churl won the war. There are even people in town who were there!
The evil forces of Prince Hei Ho Bang and Wu Tze Lee were routed by the good and just forces of Hel Churl.
The people who were at Wu Tze Lee fighting think that the leader of Hel Churl, (Hang Bu Fang ) has the opal from Wu Tze Lee.
The people who were at Wu Tze Lee, fighting, think that Hang Bu Fang (Leader of Hel Churl) has the opals.
If they leave.
