Wu Tze Lee 101

Days 1 to 10

WTL 101

(Wu Tze Lee Army rego desk) The desk has a neat collection forms, a brush and some ink.

The man at the desk will ask for name and profession. He will indicate genuine surprise no matter what the characters say. He will write their details on individual pieces of paper (Give them handout PH-013).
They must sign up to the end of the conflict. (Wu Tze Lee repel all attackers or is destroyed.)
Explain that they will be considered part of the military, be commanded as such and subject to the same rules about discipline, desertion, etc. Their wages will be 1 GP per day.
Their blip is their own problem. He recommends that they do not keep it near the city as it will most surely be destroyed. He believes that the army will have no use for it, but they should ask the General when they meet him.
If the players want to see any one of higher authority they will at first be refused. If they persist then the guard will go and get the General (from encounter WTL103). The general will tell them that the army is only interested in people who want to join it. If the party join they will be given a special unit and special tasks. But they will still be under the command of the army. If they offer to use their blip as part of the armed forces he will accept. He still tells them to join the army and come and see him after they have joined. The General is Wu Ai Ren, an uncle of Wu Tze Lee. If the players want to get him to support them politically he will tell them that his family have always had respect for the Tangs and will support them as best they can. [They know of Tang Li Bing already.]
The man at the registration desk is a bureaucrat in soldier's clothing. He will do everything by the book. He is not interested in idle chatter, only getting the job done.
The players are free to go and do what they want. They may return at a later stage and actually join the army.

Back into the city on days 1 to 8.

Back into the city on days 9 & 10. If they go into the tent. If they fight.
