The Queen of the locusts appears as a very beautiful, five foot tall, woman. She has sandy/ yellow hair, green eyes and appears to be 20 to 25 years old.

Habitat/Society: The Queen lives with her swarm, laying eggs and protecting it from the outside world. She is the centre of the swarm's intelligence. If she dies then the swarm will activate a special Queen Egg to replace her. During this time the swarm is very vulnerable.

Ecology: The Queen is a true omnivore and no different from humans in her diet, except that she eats a higher proportion of vegetables than most humans.

Combat: The Queen has very strong legs and can kick in any direction. She can also produce a screech which is similar to guard locusts rubbing their legs together. All non-locusts in thirty feet must save vs paralysation or be paralysed for three rounds.

Unique to the Queen in this module: The Queen has been in love with Wu Tze Lee for many years. She is very unstable at the moment because of the problem with the lake and is also upset at the problems Wu Tze Lee is having now that he is part of the bureaucracy. Her love for Wu Tze Lee is the only thing which keeps her sane.

The Queen will be paranoid about the humans destroying the swarm because of her episode with the witch who started the whole curse on the lake and because of general persecution by humans who tend to hate locusts anyway. Her personality will change from harsh and accusing when she thinks of the lake, to warm and tender when she thinks about Wu Tze Lee or the red opal he gave her.
