Locust Lake 004

All Days

LL 004

(Captured) You awaken to your bruises and cuts. You seem to remember dreaming about butterflies coming out of cocoons. As you wake fully it becomes obvious that you cannot move. You are completely wrapped in a sticky thread formed into a cocoon with just your head exposed. All of your equipment is missing.

Let the party have one minute to talk. The threads will stretch even to the extent of retaining a character who has changed shape.
(Royal entrance) A humming sound approaches the cavern entrance. Emerging from the entrance is a swarm of locusts surrounding a group of guards. Behind them walks a very beautiful lady. She walks past each member of the party before stopping in front of Bing [or another character if Bing is not there].The Queen speaks in a voice tinged with anger and worry. Why do you dare to disturb the swarm. Have we not suffered enough at the hands of humans for you to be satisfied. What is your justification for adding to our grief"
The Queen will initially deny any knowledge of the Opal. If the party persist, she will admit that she has had some information about it but it is too beautiful for humans such as you. She will then admit to knowing that the other Opals are in Wu Tze Lee's care.

If the party offer to help or pay for information or enquire why she is so grief stricken she will calm down and ask what they know of the lake.
If the party mention Wu Tze Lee in general terms, she will smile (ED: In love) and ask what they know of him and how the war is going at his city.
If they say that Wu Tze Lee is dead she will break down and cry. As she calms down she will ask how they know this.

If the players indicate a general desire to help the queen with her problem with the lake.

If the players are generally obnoxious or do not ask the right questions.
