Locust Lake 005

(Queen's confession) My swarm must move continuously to keep up with the lake. The lake is the only still water in the area so we need to be near it. I don't usually get time to build a nest and lay eggs before the lake moves on. My swarm is getting smaller and 1 don't know what to do to stop it.

	If they ask she will tell them the following about how the lake started to move.

(Lake's History) One day I led the swarm into a cave, by the lake, to escape a storm. In the cave was an ugly old woman with a large cooking pot. As we entered there was a flash of light. Then there was a large black spirit standing above the pot. The old woman screamed as the swarm engulfed her and the spirit. The spirit reached out and grabbed her, telling her she would die slowly. She looked at me and told me that we all would die slowly for our interference. The two of them vanished into the pot. When we came out of the cave the lake was gone. We found it again but, since then it keeps moving and we are slowly dying.

	The lake will move 4 days after the party finds it, one hex away, in a random direction.
	If the party offers to help stop the lake moving she will release them and allow them to go unharmed down to the lake. She will be carried in a sedan chair by six guards down to the lake.
	Once the party are at the lake they have three minutes real time to make a decision. After this time the lake will begin to shimmer and the Queen will say "Hurry, hurry. I can feel the lake beginning to diminish again.".
	The way to stop the lake moving is to cast a Remove Curse on the lake and a Remove Curse on the Queen. (One spell if the Queen is in the lake.)
	The lake takes 4 rounds to disappear. When it is gone there is nothing but a normal, grassy valley floor in its place. If the lake vanishes then the Queen will say "You have failed to stop the lake moving. I have wasted my precious resting time with you." The whole swarm fly off with 6 guards carrying her in her sedan chair. Their equipment is in the cave.


If they remove the curse.	Fight.
