Wing Ting Mai 013

Days 1 to 19

WTM 013

(Inside the City)

The city lies before the players. To the left is the market and to the right is the dock area. Ahead they can see a tower looming over the roofs. On the whole it is a poor city. Slave trade supplies enough money for Wing Ting Mai himself, but he is not known for his sharing attitude. Generally people are fairly depressed. All the large buildings and expensive houses are made from sand and glue. Smaller houses are made from drift wood and thatched seaweed roof. There are no taverns in the town. Seaweed Wine is drunk at home by the peasants. It tastes like salty mead.
The eastern part of the city has housing for the city workers. This includes servants for the rich, store owners, market stall owners and guards. This housing is simple but comfortable and is better than the peasant housing outside. They are constructed from timber walls and have thatched roofs. Some people can always be found in this area.
There are not as many guards around as usual. Wing Ting Mai has sent half of his garrison to help Wu Tze Lee. The garrison has been reduced to fifteen lieutenants, forty sergeants and 900 guards.
The peasants and city workers are friendly and happy to talk. They know the following information:
Wing Ting Mai is the Lord of the City.
The city is called Wing Ting Mai.
Wing Ting Mai is a magician.
He was born here and took over the city many years ago.
He is an arrogant bully not to be aggravated, toyed with etc.
No one knows who his father is.
The junks are used for going to the Capital with goods.
They are rowed by Wing Ting Mai's slaves.
Wu Tze Lee was the Imperial Magician and stole the opals.
The slaves are kept in cells under the guard's quarters.
One opal is in the city with Wing Ting Mai.
Wu Tze Lee is dead. He was killed by the Imperial Bureaucracy.

If they leave.

Fight in the city.
